Service accounts
A service account connects Talkyto to your Twilio account. All calls and messages go through Twilio’s infrastructure — Talkyto doesn’t operate its own telecom network. You need at least one service account set up before you can make calls or send messages.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- A Twilio account. Trial accounts don’t support calling, so you need to upgrade your Twilio account before making or receiving calls.
- Your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token from the Twilio Console.
Set up a service account
Section titled “Set up a service account”- In Talkyto, go to Settings > Service Accounts.
- Select your account.
- Tap Configure all.
Configure all sets up all seven configuration categories automatically. This is the recommended starting point.
Configuration categories
Section titled “Configuration categories”Each configuration category handles a specific part of calling or messaging:
| Configuration | Purpose |
|---|---|
| FCM Credential | Handles incoming and outgoing calls and push notifications |
| VoIP Credential | Manages incoming and outgoing calls |
| iOS Push Credential | Enables calls on iOS devices |
| Messaging Service | Processes incoming messages |
| Outgoing Voice Application | Manages outgoing calls |
| Incoming Voice Application | Handles incoming calls |
| Notify Service | Supports notifications for older app versions |
You can also configure these individually. Configuring categories one at a time is useful when you’re troubleshooting a specific issue — for example, if only incoming calls are failing, you can reconfigure Incoming Voice Application without touching the rest.
