Twilio account configuration
Talkyto Business uses your own Twilio account for all calling and messaging. The dashboard stores your Twilio credentials, provisions phone numbers, and keeps device settings in sync — but the telecom services and costs are managed directly in Twilio.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- A Twilio account at twilio.com.
- At least one active Twilio phone number.
- Your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token (available in the Twilio Console under Account > General settings).
Add a service account
Section titled “Add a service account”A service account in Talkyto Business represents one Twilio account.
- In the dashboard, go to Service accounts and select Add new service account.
- Enter your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token.
- Submit the form. The service account appears in your list.
You can add multiple service accounts if your organisation uses more than one Twilio account.
Configure the service account
Section titled “Configure the service account”- Select your service account to open it.
- Go to the Setup tab and select Configure all options. This step connects Talkyto’s webhooks to your Twilio account so calls and messages route correctly.
Configure phone numbers
Section titled “Configure phone numbers”- Inside the service account, open the Phone numbers tab.
- For each phone number you want to use, select the capabilities:
- Voice — enable to allow calls through this number.
- SMS — enable to allow sending and receiving text messages.
- Save the configuration.
Assign the service account to devices
Section titled “Assign the service account to devices”After configuring the service account, assign it to enrolled devices:
- Go to Devices and select a device.
- Open the Service accounts tab.
- Select the service account, then select Setup.
- For each phone number, choose Visible (the device can see the number) and optionally Messaging (the device can send and receive SMS on that number).
Next steps
Section titled “Next steps”- Voice configuration — configure inbound/outbound calling options.
- Messaging configuration — enable SMS/MMS per device.
- Voicemail setup — set voicemail greetings and timeouts.
