Message logs
Message logs give administrators complete visibility into all SMS and MMS activity flowing through the organisation. Use logs to audit conversations, track delivery status, monitor costs, and troubleshoot messaging issues.
Access message logs
Section titled “Access message logs”By service account
Section titled “By service account”- In the dashboard, go to Service accounts and select the service account.
- Open the Messages tab (or Message logs tab, depending on your dashboard version).
By device
Section titled “By device”- Go to Devices and select the device.
- Open the Message logs tab.
What each log entry shows
Section titled “What each log entry shows”| Column | Description |

| Direction | Whether the message was incoming or outgoing |
| Contact number | The phone number of the other party |
| Date and time | When the message was transmitted |
| Delivery status | Current state: Delivered, Failed, Queued, or Undelivered |
| Cost | Per-message charge from Twilio |
| Type | SMS or MMS |
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Logs are empty or missing entries. Check that the phone number is assigned to an active service account and that SMS is enabled for that number under Phone numbers > SMS.
MMS attachments are not visible. Media URLs from Twilio expire shortly after delivery. Download or view attachments promptly after receipt.
