Messaging configuration
Messaging configuration in Talkyto Business controls which phone numbers can send and receive SMS/MMS, and which devices have access to those numbers.
Service-account level: enable SMS on a number
Section titled “Service-account level: enable SMS on a number”- Sign in to your Talkyto Business dashboard.
- Go to Service accounts and select your service account.
- Open the Phone numbers tab.
- For the number you want to use for messaging, enable SMS.
Device level: grant messaging access
Section titled “Device level: grant messaging access”- Go to Devices and select the device.
- Open the Service accounts tab.
- Select the service account and then select Setup.
- For each phone number:
- Set Visible to make the number available to the device.
- Set Messaging to allow the device to send and receive SMS on that number.
Optional: confirm messaging is enabled on the device
Section titled “Optional: confirm messaging is enabled on the device”After saving the dashboard configuration, the employee can open the Talkyto App, go to Settings > Messaging, and confirm that Allow incoming SMS is turned on.
