First-time setup

This guide walks you through the complete Talkyto Business onboarding flow, from creating your account to your team making calls and sending messages through the dashboard.

You need:

  • A Talkyto Business subscription (purchased during onboarding via Stripe).
  • A Twilio account with at least one active phone number.
  • Your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token (found in the Twilio Console).
  • The email addresses of the devices (employees) you want to invite.

Open app.talkyto.io/onboarding and select Business.

Answer the short onboarding questionnaire. This helps Talkyto configure your account correctly from the start.

Sign in with your email address or your Google account. If you used email, verify your address before continuing.

Select Create new organisation, enter your organisation name, then select it from the list to enter the dashboard.

You’re prompted to purchase a subscription immediately after entering your organisation. Complete the Stripe checkout to unlock full access.

  1. In the dashboard, go to Service Accounts and select Add new service account.
  2. Enter your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token, then submit.
  3. Open the service account, go to the Setup tab, and select Configure all options.
  4. Go to the Phone numbers tab and select which numbers to activate and what capabilities (voice, SMS) to enable.
  5. Adjust voicemail settings if needed.

For detailed Twilio configuration steps, see Twilio account configuration.

  1. Go to Invites in the left navigation.
  2. Send invitation emails to each employee.
  3. Employees accept the invite on their Talkyto App installation.
  4. Monitor accepted invites on the Invites page.

Step 8: Assign devices to service accounts and groups

Section titled “Step 8: Assign devices to service accounts and groups”
  1. Go to Devices and select an enrolled device.
  2. Open the Service accounts tab and assign the service account you created.
  3. Select which phone numbers the device can see (Visible) and which it can use for messaging (Messaging).
  4. Optionally assign the device to a group for easier management.

Your team can now send and receive calls, SMS, and MMS through their Talkyto App using the numbers you configured.
