Voicemail per number
In addition to the service-account-level voicemail settings, Talkyto Business lets you configure distinct voicemail greetings and timeouts for each individual phone number. Per-number settings take precedence over the service-account defaults.
Configure voicemail for a specific number
Section titled “Configure voicemail for a specific number”- In the dashboard, go to Service accounts and select the service account.
- Open the Phone numbers tab.
- Locate the phone number and select the settings icon (three dots) next to it.
- Select Voicemail.
- Set the voicemail voice, greeting message, and ring timeout for this number specifically.
- Save the configuration.
When to use per-number voicemail
Section titled “When to use per-number voicemail”Per-number voicemail is useful when:
- Different numbers serve different teams or purposes (for example, sales vs. support) and need distinct greetings.
- You want a shorter or longer ring timeout on a specific number.
- The service-account default greeting doesn’t match the branding for a particular number.
