Voicemail per number

In addition to the service-account-level voicemail settings, Talkyto Business lets you configure distinct voicemail greetings and timeouts for each individual phone number. Per-number settings take precedence over the service-account defaults.

  1. In the dashboard, go to Service accounts and select the service account.
  2. Open the Phone numbers tab.
  3. Locate the phone number and select the settings icon (three dots) next to it.
  4. Select Voicemail.
  5. Set the voicemail voice, greeting message, and ring timeout for this number specifically.
  6. Save the configuration.

Per-number voicemail is useful when:

  • Different numbers serve different teams or purposes (for example, sales vs. support) and need distinct greetings.
  • You want a shorter or longer ring timeout on a specific number.
  • The service-account default greeting doesn’t match the branding for a particular number.
